In 2000, the CT Bar Institute, Inc. (CTBI), was incorporated as a non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization pursuant to section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The CTBI carries out the educational and charitable purposes of the CBA, and provides quality continuing legal education (CLE), publishes scholarly legal materials, and renders services to the public with its pro bono network administration, law-related education, and public service programs.
The CTBI owns the building at 30 Bank Street, New Britain, which is the home of the CBA Law Center. Our renovation of the entire building was completed in January 2009. The CBA Law Center is equipped with an audio/video system and Wi-Fi service, houses the CBA and CTBI administrative offices, and offers conference rooms for seminar meetings and events.
