The Connecticut Bar Association provides several membership categories to serve the needs of all lawyers and legal professionals. Please use the links below and select your membership type.

Attorneys

Attorney
A licensed legal professional who either reside or practice in Connecticut

Individuals who are 75 years or older (born before 7/1/1942) and provide their date of birth will receive a discount on dues

Out-of-State Attorney
A licensed legal professional in good standing who neither resides nor practices in the State of Connecticut

I am a retired attorney
I am experiencing financial hardship
I am active duty United States Military

Government Attorneys and Judges

Judge
Connecticut state judge who has been recommended by the Judicial Selection Commission, nominated by the governor, and approved by the state legislature

Government Attorney
A licensed legal professional employed by the federal, state, or municipal government, legal services; or a Connecticut law school

Individuals who are 75 years or older (born before 7/1/1942) and provide their date of birth will receive a discount on dues.

Non-Attorney

Associate Members
A non-licensed person who works in a law-related field, is regularly employed in a law office, corporate legal department, or legal agency, and devotes substantially all working time to the performance of paralegal, legal administrative, or legal librarian duties

Government Associate (Non-Attorney)

A non-licensed person who works in a law-related field, is regularly employed by Federal, State, Municipal or Legal Services, and devotes substantially all working time to the performance of paralegal, legal administrative, or legal librarian duties

Associate (Consultant) Members
A non-licensed person who works in a law-related field and devotes substantially all working time to the performance of accounting or legal consulting duties

Students

Law Students
A full-time student in good standing enrolled in the School of Law at University of Connecticut, Yale University, or Quinnipiac University, or a bona fide Connecticut resident attending an out-of-state American Bar Association (ABA) accredited Law School

Paralegal Students
A student studying at a Connecticut accredited, paralegal program or a bona fide Connecticut resident studying at an out-of-state accredited ABA-approved paralegal program

Guest

Guest
An individual wishing to register for an event or purchase one of our practice-related products who is not a CBA member
